53rd International Fito Climb. Arriondas, Asturias.

May 16-18, 2025

Organizing club: Sif Motor.

Racing has good days, very good days, and tough days.

This weekend at El Fito brought the final touches. After a Saturday of posting increasingly better times in each race, our young rider Guillermo Pernía suffered an injury during Sunday's practice and had to retire. Fortunately, he's physically fine, which is the most important thing.

You don't always win, and sometimes you don't even cross the finish line. And when something like that happens, it hurts. Not just because of the crash, or the appearance of the car, but because of everything you can't see. It hurts because behind every lap there are many hours of work, effort, investment, sponsors, and families who endure from a distance. It hurts because of the dreams that come to a screeching halt. This is also part of racing.

And as in life, it's a lesson we learn from, we get up and look forward even when everything seems uphill.

Much encouragement to this #LittleGreatSpartan.

Guillermo, remember that life favors those who believe, and YOU BELIEVE. 💪
